Our 6am classes are always full, and the most common question at the front desk is what to eat beforehand. The answer depends on the session and on you.
For short, intense classes
A small, easily digested carb snack 20 to 30 minutes before, like a banana, a slice of toast with honey or a small glass of juice, gives you energy without a heavy stomach.
For strength sessions
If you can, have a little protein too: a yoghurt or half a shake. It's not essential, but many members find they lift better with something in the tank.
Fasted training
Training fasted is fine for some people, especially for easy cardio. If you feel dizzy or weak, eat something. Breakfast afterwards matters more than what you have before.
