Classic Double

We came to Fellside Lodge for our tenth anniversary and it was perfect from start to finish. Flowers in the suite, a handwritten note, and breakfast in the courtyard every morning. We've already booked next year. #FellsideLodge

I travel to Ambleside every month and have finally stopped trying other hotels. Quiet rooms, excellent Wi-Fi, a proper desk — and the team remembers how I take my coffee.

The Family Room was genuinely designed for families. The kids loved the treasure map and the window seat, and we loved that breakfast for them was free. Hosts were endlessly patient.

As a woman travelling alone I felt completely at home. The Old Town Walk was the highlight of my trip — I'd never have found half of those places on my own in Ambleside.

We booked the Slow Romance package and the Penthouse for our last night. The plunge pool at sunset is something we will never forget. Worth every cent.

My fourth stay at Fellside Lodge. The spa ritual is the best I've had anywhere in Europe, and the courtyard bar makes a better negroni than most cocktail bars in town.
