A painful one-sided rash. Starting antivirals early makes a real difference.
Overview
Shingles is caused by the chickenpox virus reactivating. Antiviral medicine works best within 3 days of the rash appearing, so come in as soon as you notice it. Common signs include tingling or burning pain on one side of the body, a blistering rash in a band or patch, feeling generally unwell.
