1.Summary
Our food bank gives families and individuals in Leeds a three-day parcel of balanced, nutritious food when money runs out. Parcels are packed by volunteers from donations and include fresh fruit and veg, toiletries and baby supplies when needed. Everyone who visits is also offered a chat with an advisor, because a food parcel is a stop-gap, not a solution.
2.Procedure
- 2.1Get in touch yourself, or ask a GP, school, social worker or advice service to refer you
- 2.2A friendly member of the team calls back within two working days
- 2.3We talk through what would help most, in confidence and without judgement
