Acute middle ear infections in children, checked with an otoscope in our private room.

Overview
Acute otitis media is common in children and often follows a cold. Our pharmacist will examine the ear with an otoscope and recommend pain relief or, where needed, antibiotic ear drops or tablets. Common signs include ear pain, high temperature, pulling or rubbing at the ear (young children).
