FAQ

Questions we hear every day.

Quick answers about our menu, pricing and booking at Saltmarsh Kitchen. Can't find yours? Just ask.

01

Do I need to book?

We recommend booking, especially for Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch. We always keep a few seats at the bar and kitchen counter for walk-ins.

02

How many people can you seat?

Online bookings are for up to 8 guests. For larger groups, or to book our private room for 10–24 guests, please email or call us.

03

What's your cancellation policy?

Please give us 24 hours' notice. For tables of 6 or more and the tasting menu we take a card to secure the booking and charge £20 per guest for late cancellations or no-shows.

04

Can you cater for allergies and dietary needs?

Yes. Every dish is labelled for the 14 major allergens and most can be adapted. Let us know when you book and tell your server on arrival so the kitchen can plan.

05

Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?

Always. At least a third of the menu is vegetarian, there's a plant-based main every day, and we offer a vegetarian tasting menu with notice.

06

Are children welcome?

Absolutely. We have high chairs, a small children's menu at lunch and Sunday roast portions for little ones. After 8pm we're more of a grown-up room.

07

Is the restaurant accessible?

Our main dining room and toilets are step-free. The private room is on the first floor and reached by stairs; let us know if you need help and we'll arrange the best table.

08

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, for any amount or for specific experiences like the tasting menu. They're valid for 12 months and can be sent by email or posted in a printed card.
